Flowers and Cards for Karen

The family would once again like to express their gratitude for everyone's overwhelming support, thoughts and prayers. There have been a lot of people asking where they can send flowers and cards for Karen.

At this time, the family is requesting that folks hold off sending flowers and cards because she is going to be transported to Harborview in the very near future. Her stay there will most likely be short -- a couple of days perhaps -- before she will be moved again, to a more permanent location.

When that location is known, we promise to update this blog to let everyone know where they can send flowers and cards. In the meantime, please feel free to leave a COMMENT on this blog. Your words of support and encouragement means so much to the family.

Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you. We will miss Jerry so much.

Karen, we are pulling for you and know you will be up and at it sooner than later. We have to keep having our knitting sessions!

Our love,

Sharon & Ed

Karen,

We are both thinking of you all the time. We will miss Jerry and all the good times we have when we're all together!

We will talk with you later when you are able.

Please be on your best behavior for the nurses and doctors !!!!!

Love,

Karen, You are much in the thoughts of those of us left here at Sundance. Sam and I are so sorry for what has happened and are glad to hear of your improving condition. This blog is great to keep us up to speed on your pro-gress. I want you to know that since word of your accident was received here, I've noticed that the good-bye wishes and hugs have been longer and more heart-felt even with the folks who didn't know you. Everyone has been reminded how things can change in an instant. You are in my thoughts and prayers every day. Continue to improve. Love, Nancy

Karen,

We have been thinking of you so much. Glad to have a way to get to you, although Megan kept us informed.

What can we say----we're so sorry for you and ask that God hold you tightly in his arms right now.

We would love to come for Jerry's service, but will not be able to do so.

In the meantime---do what your therapists say----and know that we love and care about you. Ron and Kay

Karen,

It is so good to see your smile in the picture when you got home. We think about you and pray for you every day.

It has been a crazy week since we got back to Washington but it feels good to be home.

As I am sure you know, I am sharing every one of your ups and downs each day as if I am reliving our accident a year ago.

WE grieve for Jerry with you all. He will be missed so much. I knew I should have made donuts again! You have such a wonderful family that is there for you each day. I know they will take good care of you. And you will be telling them what to do shortly if you are not already.

Our love,

Sharon & Ed
